Anna Conti to Accept New Position

After a decade of tireless and rewarding work to further Su Casa’s mission, we announce the transition of our Executive Director, Anna Conti effective March 8, 2022.  In an ongoing journey of survivor advocacy, Ms. Conti will be transitioning into a new role in a Washington state nonprofit coalition to help eradicate child human trafficking. Ms. Conti will utilize her knowledge and skills to finalize the coalition’s state model and scale the growth nationally. This serves in furtherance of Ms. Conti’s commitment to the important work of eradicating domestic violence, human trafficking, and sexual assault.

During her five-year tenure as the Executive Director, Ms. Conti led the revenue growth from of $1.25M in 2017 to $3.8M in 2021. Under Ms. Conti’s leadership, Su Casa secured two large federal contracts, allowing expansion of new programs including Domestic Violence Housing First and Transitional Shelter Enhancement. In 2020, Su Casa received a National Organizational Leadership Award from Jeff Bezos Day 1 Families Fund totaling $1.25M. Ms. Conti lead successful procurement, relocation, transition, and expansion of the new Walk-In & Outreach Center. Moreover, Ms. Conti continued to build on the strong financial position of the organization, by focusing on sustainability and capacity building.

 Ms. Conti’s advocacy work extended beyond local efforts. She served as the elected Regional Representative for all domestic violence agencies located in Los Angeles County, by representing county advocacy on the board of California domestic violence coalition, California Partnership to End Domestic Violence (CPEDV). In 2019, she was elected into a dual role of serving as the Vice President of the state coalition and worked with the board of directors to support strategic direction, including co-chairing the Executive Search Committee to successfully onboard CPEDV’s new Executive Director, Dr. Aleese Moore Orbih.

 Ms. Conti served as the domestic violence liaison of a working committee for Guidance of Effective Response to Domestic Abuse(GERDA), adopted by Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors. She also served on the Advisory Board of Present Now and was nominated Nonprofit Executive of the Year in the Los Angeles Business Journal.

 Her contributions are a true testament to the dedication and commitment to survivor advocacy, raising domestic violence awareness and prevention. Her legacy will continue to pave the path for successful growth and expansion of Su Casa, one of the leading domestic violence organizations in Los Angeles County.
